What is the Upper Room and why do we need it??

Upper Rooms are virtual or physical prayer rooms where strategy, prayer and spiritual warfare are conducted on behalf of the regions of the world.

Upper Rooms are prophetic gatherings, sometimes including powerful intercession, exercising effective spiritual authority and sharing testimonies as they did in the early church.

Currently our virtual upper rooms are conducted via zoom with up to 70 persons in attendance for up to 3 hours, 3 times a week.
This is the heart of GRM, the beating centre of everything that we do. Participants in the Upper Room are invited to preach on our various platforms, and to travel with us on our missions.

When Jesus initiated his mission, he called his disciples to be with him, to learn from him and to empower them time and again as on the day of Pentecost. The strategy for fulfilling Christ’s mission today has not changed – fellowship with Jesus, be empowered by the Spirit, and become powerful witnesses to the resurrection life of Christ.

What is the Upper Room experience like?

The Upper Rooms gatherings contain segments that are led by individuals prepared beforehand to lead the prayer sessions under the Spirit’s direction.

Different participants are called on to pray, prophesy and lead in worship as the meeting pulsates with worship, prayer and spiritual warfare.

Upper Room gatherings are inspirational, always infused with spiritual direction and authority, and a powerful sense of the presence of Christ – they are modelled on the original upper room Jerusalem.
